Neiman Marcus & Target Collaboration

I'm not a professional fashionista or anything, but I've been hearing a lot about this project! The Council of Fashion Designers of America which include many well know designers such as Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu, and Tory Burch, team up with Target and go wild with their holiday ideas. December 1st is the release date of the new Limited Time collection of over 50 fashionable gifts.

For those of you like me who aren't blessed with rich grandparents or who don't have careers yet, and aren't able to shop at Neiman Marcus or Saks, this new collection isn't cheap, but it is definitely a lot more affordable than the high-end stores.

View the collection here

Recap:

Who: YOU
What: Checking out the collection & hopefully buying!
When:December 1st
Where: Your local Target
Why? Uhhh! Other than the thrill of shopping, you can get great quality items for a low price!

Random Fact: Personally, I've always wanted to be somewhere where some one asked me "Who are you wearing" and I could say a well known fashion designer rather than replying with "uhh T.J. Maxx" LOL! Disclaimer:There's nothing wrong with T.J Maxx in my opinion. Be a Maxxinista all you want! It just sounds cool to reply to that question with a great fashion designer! With that said, go check out the Thom Brown oh-so-cute blazer! (Link Above)

Happy Shopping! Tell me how it goes!

What's New?

The last time I posted, I was engaged to be married, it was nice, sunny, and summery outside, and life was dandy.

Since I haven't posted in a while, I wanted to update you on what's new!

Lists are easy so here goes:

1. I got married! YAY!!!!! Now I'm Mrs. Fields (and unless you want burnt cookies, don't ask!)
2. I went on an AMAZING honeymoon to Orlando!! We shopped & explored international drive! Next time you visit, give Disney a little rest and check out the exhibits such as Ripley's Believe it or Not, the Titanic Experience, Wonder Works, the CSI exhibit, Bahama Breeze, Benihanas, etcFun stuff!
3. Officially got moved into our apartment!
4. Here's the drag: Started school

Finally, here we are at Thanksgiving about to stuff our faces with Turkey, Cranberry sauce, Collars, and Sweet Potato Pie! Yum. I'm salivating just thinking of this deliciousness! Now that its the time of thanks, I'd just like to say that I'm thankful for my husband and my year of adventures thus far. With that said...on to the upcoming...!

The end of the year is near as we'll as my continuous neglectful behavior when it comes to this blog. I won't make any declarationson how often I will post, because we all know how that works out, but I will say that I will make sure this is on a priority list. Enough of my babbling, on to the upcoming: I'm reading this book called "Very Classy" by Derek Blasberg. I pick it up because I thought it was funny and good for laughs when I cracked it open, but I've come to realize this book has tons of useful information! I won't be publishing his writing via this blog. You will need to buy the book, but I am thinking of a very interesting project and study involving the book. I don't want to reveal it just yet, because all of the details aren't worked out, but you can surely look for that to be coming soon. I will also be continuing the quote of the week and I will make sure there is a new quote this week. Lastly, there is another project coming soon that is very interactive. That's all I'm spilling for now, so please subscribe if you'd like to see what's in store!

Thanks for reading! Goodbye until later, Happy Turkey Day!!!!

Wise Words

Its time for a new quote

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might...Ecclesiastes 9:10a

I love this verse because it reminds me to give 100%. Sometimes we end up in situations where we are half doing things and it helps to remember that we're commanded to do whatever we have to do with 100% effort.

The picture to go with this is here:

Wise Words

I was checking out some other blogs to see what I could add to mine, and found a "Quote of the Week" section. I think it would be a good idea to post my favorite quote for the week. I'm going to pick a quote, find a picture to match the quote and post them together on the sidebar. Hmm...That sounds cool so far. This is just a trial run to see how it works out. Hopefully it does. Let me know what you think! (Dont be afraid to comment!)

Nothing Ever Goes as Planned

Yesterday, I resolved to use my camera more often and the plan was to take a BUNCH of pictures. I usually don't use my camera because I forget to take it with me when I go places. But not yesterday. Yesterday I planned it, but I should've known it wouldn't work out, because "Nothing ever goes as planned."

I was headed to the park with my camera on my arm, lens open and ready to snap, when an unexpected creature decides to crawl on my hand... Yes you guessed it, the hand with the camera. Within seconds, my hand jerks and before I could stop it, my $200, 12.1mp, blue Canon Powershot goes flying into the street. When I went to retrieve it, it was too late. The lens was out of place and the camera was broken, without a warranty.

Imagine my devastation. The one time I decide to use it, a stupid ant aborts that plan while costing me a camera. My wedding is also in exactly 3 weeks, and I can't just go on a HONEYMOON without a camera. I hope we can get enough money in three weeks to buy one.

Anywhoo... The day continued with my fiancé and I taking "Ok" pictures with our phones. Here they are, hope you like!
